Even just thinking about writing this blog post, I’m thinking “Are You CRAZY!!!” and to consider what other people think when they read it is… well….
Yes as funny as it sounds and despite the hard work that she is, I think my best friend is my 20-month little girl. She’s always there to make me laugh, and I’ve got to say that I just love spending time with her. It’s like a little blast of energy every time she smiles.
The way my perspective has changed since having my own child is somewhat crazy. Who knew something so small could make you have such enormous emotions and feelings (no matter how many times she screams through the night.) One thing is certain, I’m sure these feelings are here to stay.
I used to say to the Mrs all of the time that I would never love any one as much as I love her (soppy I know but hey ho). She always used to say that I will and it will be our child. Fair to say on this very small occasion she is right! (Please don’t tell her that ;-))
Although this is a very different kind of love. To my wife’s annoyance, and as she likes to point out, she is well and truly out of the loop. Daddy-Daughter power all the way.
