Planning a baby shower for a baby due in the fall? Here’s some pumpkin baby shower ideas for a “little pumpkin” themed baby shower from a hostess that threw a pumpkin baby shower last fall.
The book titled “Pumpkin Patch Blessings” was used as a guest table decoration on an easel, plus the grandma-to-be wrote a personal message inside the book about experiencing the joy of reading to her babies that she has enjoyed so much.

Guests were asked to write their “Words of Wisdom” for the mom-to-be at the sign-in table that was also decorated with real pumpkins, a diaper cake and popcorn gift bags (more on that later).
The hostess made this autumn-inspired diaper cake that sat beside a framed photo the baby’s ultrasound. If you are not as creative, you can buy a premade autumn diaper cake on Etsy.
The clear plasticware was wrapped in orange napkins with “Welcome Little Pumpkin” paper napkin rings that wrapped around them.
The guests were served muffins and cream puffs, among other goodies.
For drinks, coffee, apple cider and water with lemons was served.
The main autumn diaper cake was adorned with autumn flowers and changing leaves. If you are not as artistic, you can buy a homemade autumn diaper cake on Etsy.
The Pumpkin baby shower cake was beautiful decorated with autumn shades of swirled frosting.
The Pumpkin baby shower cake was a 4 layer cake (recipe below).
The cake mix she used for the baby shower cake was a Duncan Hines Autumn Velvets cake mix. She also mixed up a white cake mix and stirred 1/2 of it into some of the brown cake mix and then stirred the other 1/2 into the orange cake mix, to achieve the 4 different layers of cake.

Bags of microwave popcorn were given to each guest as a thank you for coming with a tag saying “Oh Baby! Ellyse is ready to pop! Thank you for celebrating Ellyse and her lil’ pumpkin!” Ellyse was obviously the name of the mom-to-be!
