Shauna went to the OB doc yesterday. She has gained 4 pounds since last week, but she is starting to retain fluid. She has only gained 18 pounds total thus far. Her stress test was normal. And the results of the ultrasound were:
Baby A – heartbeat 132 – 4 lb. 2 oz.
Baby B – heartbeat 140 – 5 lb. 7 oz.
Wowzers! And she said they are definitely boys!
Fostering a sharing and caring environment at home is nothing short of difficult. Especially for twins, who are often times expected to be each other’s best friends, expectations can be overwhelming.
Bunk beds for your twins can grant them individual spaces while still learning valuable lessons about compromise and cooperation. The bunk bed helps save space in the kids’ room while your twins work together toward a common goal, whether it be making the bed or deciding who gets to sleep on the top bunk. Comfortable, secure, stylish, and a space saver, bunk beds can also be a vital learning tool for teaching your kids an important lesson in cohabitation.

Shauna is now on weekly doctor visits and still off work, supposed to be taking it easy (although hard to do with a one year old running around). Her belly has grown two more inches, yet she has lost one pound. Next week an ultrasound is scheduled. I am so glad she is doing so well!

I didn’t get Shauna’s checkup recorded last week as I was traveling in London. But she had an ultrasound and saw that one baby was head up and the other head down. They measured at almost four pounds each already!

Today was a bit of a scare as she woke up bleeding so went to the hospital. The doctor said she had broken a blood vessel from all the pressure, and that her cervix was still closed, but thinning. So ordered her on semi-bed rest with no work until he sees her next week. I plan to bring her some movies and magazines and offer to take little Miss Merin (19 months) to give her break. I remember when my kids were little – being at work was less stressful than being home with the kids!
